My journey in the beauty industry began nearly a decade ago, with a passion that was first sparked in high school through cosmetology—the only class I had a care to attend. When my family began investing in lash studios, it felt like a natural next step to dive into lashing, and since 2016, it’s been a true pride and joy of mine.

Over the past 10 years, I’ve expanded my offerings to include brow lamination, lash lifts and tints, and brow threading. While lashes and brows will always be the foundation of my business, I knew I was ready for something more. I wanted to connect with people differently—to touch their faces, but in a more transformative, intentional way.

Having struggled with acne throughout my teens and again in adulthood, I became deeply curious about skin—especially the root causes of common skin concerns. During the quiet years when the world shut down, I dove headfirst into skincare, both how it affects us internally and externally- quickly became passionate about the healing process.

That little voice in my head kept growing louder and in 2023, it was telling me it was time to make a change. About a year later, I began touring aesthetic schools—and instantly fell in love with the very first one I visited. The people, the programs, the energy—it all felt right.

I worked hard to graduate with honours and absorb as much knowledge as I could. And with that, FacesByLeah Marie was born.
